CT of Acute Abdomen

Special Edition of Obstruction1 EXPERT COURSE [ObE Case 3]

Case. ObE 3 (10mm slice): A 59-year-old female with a past history of laparotomy for perforated appendicitis at age of 17 years. Epigastric pain developed two days ago, and the pain migrated to lower abdomen with increase in intensity on the following day, and followed by vomiting. Temperature: 37.0 degrees Celsius. Mild abdominal distension and tenderness in right lower quadrant were noted but soft without rebound tenderness or muscle guarding.
