Epigastric Pain series 6 RESIDENT COURSE [ER Case 28]ER Case 28 (10mm slice) A 66-year-old male with past history of appendectomy at age of 36 years, choledocholithotomy for common duct stones at age of 46 years. Twenty minutes after lunch, he suddenly developed continuous epigastric pain followed by several episodes of vomiting. He consulted with a nearby doctor who referred him to ED suspecting acute abdomen. Temperature is 37.9 degrees Celsius. His abdomen was soft without rebound tenderness and muscle guarding probably due to intramuscular injection of analgesics given before his arrival to ER.
