CT of Acute Abdomen

Special Edition of Obstruction1 EXPERT COURSE [ObE Case 5]

Case. ObE 5 (10mm slice): A 79-year-old male with no history of abdominal surgery. Epigastric pain and vomiting developed on the previous day, and he consulted with nearby hospital where analgesic was administered with some alleviation. Over several hours, abdominal pain increases in intensity, and vomiting persisted. Temperature: 37.4 degrees Celsius. On examination, abdomen was distended, and mild tenderness was observed in the entire abdomen but without rebound tenderness or muscle guarding.
