CT of Acute Abdomen

Epigastric Pain series 5 EXPERT COURSE [EE Case 22]

EE22 (10mm slice): A 47 years old female. Past history: appendectomy at age of 6 years. She presented with intermittent abdominal pain associated with several episodes of vomiting since prior evening. She came to the hospital because the pain became more intense toward midnight. Abdominal examination showed tenderness in epigastrium but without rebound tenderness or muscle guarding. She was observed until the next morning. Temperature is 37.3 Ž. CT scan was obtained after twelve hours from the onset of the pain.
