Epigastric Pain series 4 RESIDENT COURSE [ER Case 16]

ER Case 16 (10mm slice) : A 50-year-old male with a past history of partial gastrectomy for gastric cancer 8 years ago. Five episodes of intestinal obstruction occurred afterwards and treated conservatively each time. He presented with intense epigastric pain of six hours duration. Body temperature: 37.0 degrees Celsius. Abdomen was distended, and showed clinical signs of peritonitis.
