Gastric ulcer




There is no free air or ascitic fluid. Black arrows of Fig.6-Fig.8 show a gastric ulcer which extends from gastric angle to posterior wall. The edema of the gastric wall (black arrowheads) around the ulcer is only mild because the ulcer is in subacute stage. Endoscopy revealed an active ulcer which extends from gastric angle to posterior wall (Fig.A: white arrowheads).



Reference case (gastric ulcer): A 62-year-old male was brought by ambulance because of aggravating epigastric pain for two days.
Submucosal edema (black arrowheads) from gastric angle to posterior wall of antrum is shown. The black arrow is an ulcerative lesion. Endoscopy revealed a large gastric ulcer (Fig.B: white arrowheads).
